This poor BBC reporter was doing a segment on sexual harassment and even mentions women getting yelled at in the street when, at the worst possible timing, she gets the FHRITP.
From the YouTube description:
“A BBC TV reporter was harassed in the street while filming a report about street harassment.
Sarah Teale was filming outside a conference on the subject in Nottingham when a man directed a sexual comment towards her.
The East Midlands Today reporter said she was “genuinely shocked” by what the man said.
She said: “It’s not banter, it’s not funny and no-one should have to put up with it.”
In the clip, Teale can be heard explaining: “An online study showed that a shocking 95% of people said they had been harassed, jeered at, or had obscenities shouted at them in the street and a large proportion said they’d also been groped or grabbed inappropriately in public.”
Then, as a comment is made, she can be seen pointing ahead and saying: “Yeah, like that.”
How in the hell is this place in Wales called “Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch”? That’s just ridiculous. I googled what it means and roughly translated it’s “St Mary’s Church in the Hollow of the White Hazel near a Rapid Whirlpool and the Church of St. Tysilio near the Red Cave”. Sooooo there’s that.
So apparently women feel cold more than men. That’s news to me, but now using AC at work is considered sexist. I’m not trying to be an asshole here but I just don’t get it. Honestly at first I thought this was a video from The Onion.
Easy there Elvin, I’m not going say that at all!
I love VICE and I think they have some amazing and informative stories. Now The Onion is here to mock the s**t out of it and it’s hilarious! For every great piece VICE does on the middle east, or climate change, or human rights there is 100 pieces on drugs…just lots of pieces on drugs.
Now here’s some good wholesome fun for the whole family. This anchorman was tricked into saying “In other news, I love lamp.” Of course this is from the movie Anchorman when Steve Carell’s character ‘Brick’ says that. Now if the female anchor in the video here was going for authenticity she’d have him say “Go fuck yourself”. But alas, she went for the safe joke. Oh what could have been..
I could watch news fails all day long. Usually they feature some NSFW Freudian slip of the tongue. But this awesome compilation is all about them falling down and getting hurt.
